"Every nail driven should be as another rivet in the machine of the universe, you carrying on the work." - H.D. Thoreau
Connector, problem solver, and lifelong explorer.
This page began as a creative exercise to clarify my perspectives on work and life; a personal guidebook to direct my second life-defining career pivot.
Upon reflection, I realized these were valuable insights to share. So here we are!
The space has now evolved into a branching project. It is a perpetual work in progress (just like me).

Lead From The Back
Inspire and empower others. Strong leadership is a force multiplier.
Details Matter
God and the Devil are in the details. Execute flawlessly.
People Are Your Most Valuable Asset
Be generous with your energy. Green things require sunlight.
Collaboration is Crucial
Build trust and harness relationships. Insights lie at the intersections, and influence drives outcomes.
Customer Obsession Is Fundamental
Exist to serve, all else will follow. Never lose sight of the goalpost.
Values for Work and Life
(1-3 below are a reframe of Charlie Munger’s 3 rules for career satisfaction)
#1 Work for people you respect and admire
Your leaders will shape you. Ensure your values are aligned.
#2 Work with people you enjoy
The people you work with motivate, uplift, sustain, and replenish you.
In small ways, they make a big impact. 1 + 1 = 3.
A third of your life is spent at work. Surround yourself with those that help you pass the time well.
#3 Build products you believe in
Your work is the product of your life energy. It is a reflection of you.
Ask yourself: What kind of impact do I want to have on the world?
My dad’s motto was “leave it better than you found it”. (Something incidentally, he still preaches to this day).
If you want to push the world forward, choose good quests.
#4 Be useful
This is a principle I absorbed as a kid.
Everyone around me always helped out. No one had to ask. People saw a need, and rolled up their sleeves. I followed the model.
The result? I learned.
To embrace new challenges
To be situationally aware
To adapt
To anticipate needs
To love learning
Continually develop your utility as a strategic asset. It opens doors, even to the most exclusive rooms.
#5 Stay curious
Curiosity is our default state, and then the brain simplifies for objective function.
Unguarded, efficiency can become atrophy. Exercise your mind.
Focus your attention. Pause and think. Ask why. Dive deep.
The world is beautifully complex. Maintain your sense of wonder.
#6 Treat people (and all things) well
Same concept as #3. How you show up is how you will be remembered.
With everyone and everything, walk gently. Be kind.
Create, expand, spread light.
#7 Do the right thing
Simple in principle, difficult in practice. The hard thing and the right thing are often the same.
The "right thing" can seem nuanced, subjective. But it isn't.
The framework? Objectivity + compassion. Least harm + greatest good.
Attune to this mindset, then trust your intuition.
